MultiMine Scheduler FAQs Mine Strategy Solution Home

MultiMine Scheduler allows you to combine the pushback resources from two or more NPV Scheduler projects, each built from separate and independent block models. The Scheduler operates in the same fashion as scheduling a single project in NPV Scheduler, except that the resulting schedule combines the output from multiple mines to satisfy the specified targets.

multimine scheduler process

  1. Build economic model, ultimate pit and pushbacks for each pit using independent cost settings.

  2. Attach to MultiMine Scheduler project.

  3. Set targets for blended/combined production from all pits using rate and ratio expressions.

  4. Solve. Export schedules back to pit projects for design and planning.

  5. Generate combined schedule and reports.

  6. Update NPV Scheduler projects with latest survey, geology, costs and prices at any time.
  7. Re-solve combined schedule at any time.

NPV Scheduler projects

No size or geographical restrictions on component pit models. Variable pit-plant hauls accounted for in both cost model and truck hours simulation.

Multimine Scheduler

Attaches resources from either NPV Scheduler, NPV Scheduler+, RM Scheduler or NPV Scheduler+MFO projects.and allows you to combine the pushback resources from two or more projects, each built from separate and independent block models. The Scheduler operates in the same fashion as scheduling a single project in NPV or RM Scheduler, except that the resulting schedule combines the output from multiple mines to satisfy the specified targets.

Local Area Plan (LAP)

Report revenue, tonnes, meter-tonnes, truck hours and grades by pit, pushback, rock type and period.

The suite of optimization tools includes...

Scheduler: Schedule the mining of pushbacks from multiple NPV Scheduler projects to account for any number of practical constraints (examples include maintaining ore output and strip ratios at prescribed levels, blending, controlling ore contamination), obtain a realistic NPV estimate.

Haulage Analysis: Waste and ore destinations for individual mines are used to calculate the metre.tonnes or foot.tons and schedule directly by truck hour targets per period. Truck hour targets can be set for individual or for combined truck fleets.

Reporting: Optimization programs generate text and spreadsheet reports. Text reports are automatically displayed in the Schedule window. Spreadsheet reports use built-in spread-sheets and are available at a push of a button. You can customize the content of text reports.

Charting: You can chart optimization results using the built in charting tool which is highly customizable, supports numerous chart types, and allows for charting with multiple axes. Charts can be displayed for the combined schedule or for individual mines.

Plotting: The plotting tool allows you to plot block models, surfaces, and region boundaries in plan, section, or any three dimensional view. You can graphically interrogate the plotted objects and insert smart plot items like text boxes, coordinate grids, scale bars and title blocks. You can import and format 3D objects from CAD drawings and other 3D data sources using the Data Source Drivers.

Visualization: MultiMine Scheduler includes a standard contouring tool and a three dimensional surface rendering tool. You can contour or render period surfaces generated for each of the attached project models. Images can be saved in formats convenient for presentation and Internet publishing.
