CC&V is a joint venture managed by Pikes Peak Mining Co. a subsidiary of Anglo Gold International. CC&V operates an open pit gold mine and valley-fill heap leach in central Colorado. The deposits consist of four separate mining areas with reserves of approximately 130 million ore tons at .033 opt and a waste to ore strip ratio of 1.7:1. Due to the current large exploration program and constant changes in economics, CC&V is constantly modeling, designing pits, scheduling and re-optimizing the deposits both separately and as a whole.

NPV Scheduler has been in use for 18 months and has allowed a single mine engineer to rapidly generate new mine designs, schedules and sensitivity analyses. This has allowed CC&V management to have the information necessary to respond and make critical decisions to ensuring our success in a depressed gold market and constantly changing operating parameters.
