Senior Consultant in Russia (2 Positions available)

Datamine is one of the world’s leading developers of geological modeling and mine planning software for the mining industry.  The company is based in the United Kingdom and has sales and technical support offices in every major mining country around the world.  We are currently expanding our business in Russia - where our client list already includes some of Russia’s most prestigious mining companies such as Norilsk, Polyus and Polymetal – and this expansion has created two exciting positions within the company.

The Positions
The successful candidates will be based in St. Petersburg and will provide consulting, training and technical support to Datamine’s mining clients in Russia and other Russian speaking mining regions.  They will also assist with sales campaigns and participate with other Datamine consultants in large implementation projects.  The roles will involve considerable travel both within Russia and internationally and a valid passport is essential.

The positions report to the General Manager, Datamine International Ltd and attract competitive salary and benefit packages.  The positions offer considerable opportunity for growth and advancement within Datamine, including international postings.

The Qualifications
These positions will suit professionals with appropriate tertiary qualifications in geology / mining engineering (or similar) and between five to ten years professional experience.

Knowledge of mine design or geological modeling software packages from Datamine or our competitors will be an advantage but is not a mandatory requirement as full training will be provided in one of Datamine’s training facilities. 

The successful candidates must have the ability to communicate professionally and effectively in Russian and will also be able to speak English to a reasonable level.  A positive attitude and an enthusiastic desire to make a contribution to Datamine’s business will be valued very highly. 

Expenses for relocation to St Petersburg will be considered for successful candidates.
