Datamine, one of the world’s leading software developers for the mining industry, is going through a massive growth period both in terms of business as well as resources to carry out that business around the world. As a part of its expansion plan, Datamine is looking for a Senior Consultant – Mining Engineering for its office in Wells, Somerset, in the UK.

The Position
For the Senior Consultant – Mining Engineering, we are seeking a professional with a degree in Mining Engineering having a minimum of 8 years experience. The ideal candidate would have served on mine sites with atleast 2-3 years experience in underground copper mines and is now ready to exercise his or her practical skills in a consulting role based in the UK but with frequent international travel. The candidate should be well conversant with mining software packages like Datamine, Underground Rings, Mine2-4D, EPS. Knowledge of computer language will be an added advantage. The candidate will also have very strong written and personal presentation skills. The candidate should be also fluent in oral and written Russian language.

The job profile of this role includes, but not limited to: -

• To provide professional support in the use of Datamine based solutions (Studio, Mine2-4D) to our client base.
• To carry out consultancy and project work using our software products both as a service to existing or new clients or as an additional sales aid.
• To install our software solutions on clients’ hardware and to carry out any necessary testing to resolve problems with such installations.
• To carry out training courses in the use of our software and solutions.
• To assist with the production of databases and demonstration material for marketing and training purposes.
• To assist with the testing of software prior to release and with the checking and recording of problems reported by clients.
• To carry out any other tasks which may be reasonably expected for the promotion and support of our business throughout the world.

The remuneration package for this position will be GBP 47,000 per annum along with benefits.
